Carte Key

A Carte Key is what unlocks Marketplace extensions and themes for your installation. To install an extension or theme, you'll need a Site (Carte) — create one from Sites in your TastyIgniter.com account menu. Anything you add to a Site installs automatically the next time you update your TastyIgniter installation.

To find and use your carte key:

Once your Site is created, find its carte key on the site details page in your Account section.

A typical Carte Key looks like this: a26cff52409bd000b0000b7000ae97bdceade86c.

Use it to bind a new or existing TastyIgniter installation to that Site.

If composer install fails:

From TastyIgniter 4.3.3, Composer sends your carte key to the marketplace in the TI-Rest-Key header. The header is stored in auth.json under custom-headers. Composer added custom-headers in version 2.9, so you need Composer 2.9 or newer.

An auth.json left over from an earlier version still uses HTTP Basic auth (your account email as the username and the carte key as the password). Composer then fails to authenticate with composer.tastyigniter.com.

Apply the carte key from the TastyIgniter Admin. That writes the TI-Rest-Key header Composer expects.

1. Run composer --version. Upgrade to Composer 2.9 or newer if the version is lower.
2. In the admin, click Manage, then Updates.
3. Click Attach Carte Key, paste the key from your Site, and attach it.
4. Click Check Updates. TastyIgniter rewrites auth.json for composer.tastyigniter.com.
5. Run composer install again.
