Delivery zones

Delivery zones — called Delivery Areas in TastyIgniter — tell customers where you deliver, and let you charge different rates depending on how far away they are. You can set up multiple areas per location, each with its own rules and rates.

  1. Click Manage in the sidebar.
  2. Click Locations.
  3. Click the pencil icon next to the location you want to set up.
  4. Click Settings at the top of the page.
  5. Click the Delivery Areas tab.
  6. Click + Add new area.
  7. Fill in the fields below.
  8. Click Save.

Area Name — A name to help you recognise this area, e.g. "Downtown" or "5-mile radius".
Set As Default — Turn this on if customers outside every other area should fall into this one.
Area Type — Choose how you want to define the area:

  • Address — Match customers based on part of their address, e.g. city or postcode.
  • Shape (polygon) — Draw a custom delivery boundary on the map.
  • Circle — Deliver within a set distance from your restaurant.

Tip: If you choose Circle, TastyIgniter needs your restaurant's address before it can draw the circle. Enter and save the address first — if you see a message about a missing "center coordinates," that's why.

Note: Delivery areas are checked in the order they appear in the list, and every location needs at least one delivery area before it can accept delivery orders.
