Sliders and banners are the eye-catching images on your website's homepage - great for showing off your best dishes or promoting a seasonal offer.
Sliders
A slider rotates through a set of images automatically, one after another.
- Click Design in the sidebar.
- Click Sliders & Banners.
- Click New.
Name - A label to help you identify this slider.
Slider code - A short reference your theme uses to know where to display this slider.
- Under Images, click the + tile to upload a photo. Add as many as you like - each one becomes a slide.
- Click Save.
Banners
A banner is a single promotional image, usually linking somewhere when clicked.
- From the Sliders & Banners page, click Banners.
- Click New.
Name - A label to help you identify this banner.
Code - A short reference your theme uses to know where to display this banner.
Type - Choose Image for a picture banner, or Custom to write your own HTML.
Image - Upload the banner photo. You can add more than one to display a rotating carousel.
Alternative Text - A short description of the image, shown if it fails to load.
Click URL - Where customers go when they click the banner. Leave blank if it shouldn't be clickable.
Status - Turn the banner on or off.
- Click Save.
Tip: Use large, well-lit photos for both sliders and banners - they're often the first thing customers see when they land on your site.
Note: Adding a slider or banner here doesn't automatically place it on your website. Your theme decides where each Slider code or Code actually appears - check with your theme's documentation, or ask us to verify if you're unsure where a code shows up.
