Listing allergens on your menu items cuts down on customer questions and special requests — and helps everyone order with confidence.
Create an allergen
- Click Restaurant > Menu Items.
- Click the ••• menu next to + New.
- Click Ingredients.
- Click + New.
- Enter a Name and, if you like, a Description and Image.
- Turn on Is an allergen.
- Click Save.
Note: This same screen is also where you manage regular ingredients — just leave Is an allergen off for those.
Add an allergen to a menu item
- Click Restaurant > Menu Items.
- Click + New, or the pencil icon next to an existing item.
- Click into the Ingredients/Allergens field and select the ones that apply.
- Click Save.
Tip: Set up your allergens first — the Ingredients/Allergens field only lets you pick from ones you've already created.
