Orders Reservations

Order and table booking limits

Control how many orders you take, and when, in two ways: by mealtime or by order type.

By mealtime — go to Restaurant > Mealtimes, then + New or the pencil icon on an existing one. Set the Start Time and End Time customers can order within, and click Save.

By order type — go to Restaurant > Menu Items, open a dish, and under Order Restriction limit it to Delivery or Pick-up only.

If a customer tries to order outside these limits, they'll see a message letting them know it's not available right now.

Manage how many guests each table can seat, and combine tables for larger parties.

  1. Click Restaurant in the sidebar.
  2. Click Dining Areas.
  3. Click the pencil icon next to a dining area, or + New to create one.
  4. Click on a table (or + New table) to set its Minimum Capacity and Maximum Capacity.
  5. Turn on Reservable to allow bookings for this table, or off to hide it from reservations.
  6. Click Save.

Tip: Need to seat larger groups? Use the Combos tab to combine two or more tables into a single bookable unit with a combined capacity.

For limits that apply across your whole location — not just one table — go to Manage > Locations > pencil icon > Settings > General, and open Reservation settings.

Min./Max. Reservation Guest Size — The smallest and largest party size customers can book.
Min./Max. Advance Reservation Time — How many days ahead customers can (or must) book.
Limit Reservation Guests Count — Turn this on to cap the total number of guests you'll accept in a single time slot, then set that cap under Maximum Guests Per Interval.

Disabled tables and locations that reach their limits won't be available for customers to book.
