Square payment setup

• Turn on Square Payment
• Connect your Square account
• Optional extras

Square lets you accept card payments from your customers securely.

#Turn on Square Payment

1. Click Manage in the sidebar.
2. Click Settings.
3. Click Payment Gateways.
4. Click the pencil icon next to Square Payment.
5. Fill in the fields below.
6. Click Save.

Priority — Where this payment method appears among others. Leave blank if you don't need to prioritise it.
Description — A short line telling customers how they'll be paying.
Is Default — Turn this on to make Square your default payment method.
Status — Turn this on to accept Square payments.

#Connect your Square account

Transaction Mode — Test while setting up, or Live once you're ready for real payments.
Application ID, Access Token, and Location ID — Copy these from your Square account and paste them into the matching Test or Live fields.

To find these details, log in to your Square Developer account and copy them from the Locations tab of your Developer Dashboard.

#Optional extras

Additional Fee Type / Additional Fee — Charge customers extra for paying with Square, either a fixed amount or a percentage.
Minimum Order Total Amount — The order must reach this amount before Square becomes available.
Order Status — The status to apply automatically when a customer pays with Square. Leave blank to use your default order status.
