Serving customers in more than one language helps you reach a wider audience.
Enable an existing language
- Click Manage in the sidebar.
- Click Settings.
- Click Languages.
- Click the pencil icon next to the language you want.
- Turn on Status, then click Save.
Click the star icon next to a language to make it your site's default.
Add a new language
- Click Manage > Settings > Languages.
- Click + New.
- Enter a Name and Locale Code.
- Turn on Status and click Save.
Tip: Use a full locale code like
fr_FRrather than justfr— it needs to match your locale directory exactly.
Note: Want customers to automatically see your site in their own browser's language? Turn on Detect Browser Language under Manage > Settings > General > Localization.
