Author terms

Terms that apply when you sell extensions or themes on the TastyIgniter Marketplace.

The TastyIgniter Marketplace is operated by Igniter Labs Ltd ('we', 'us', 'our'), a limited company trading as TastyIgniter, registered in England and Wales under company number 10203662, with its registered office at 71-75 Shelton Street, Covent Garden, London, United Kingdom, WC2H 9JQ.

These Author Terms supplement our Terms and conditions and the Marketplace license. By becoming an author or listing items for sale, you agree to these Author Terms in addition to those documents.

  1. Welcome

    When you sell on the TastyIgniter Marketplace, you make your items available for buyers to license under the applicable Marketplace license. You are not selling ownership of the item itself.

    We may update these Author Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Marketplace as an author after changes are published means you accept the updated terms.

  2. Becoming an author

    Becoming an author is free. Before your items can be sold, they must pass our review process.

    You agree to:

    • provide accurate and up-to-date account, profile, and payout information;
    • connect a verified Stripe or PayPal account before receiving payouts;
    • connect your item to a public or accessible source repository, with at least one tagged release; and
    • comply with our review requirements and any reasonable requests we make during review.

    We may refuse, suspend, or terminate author access if information is inaccurate, items do not meet our standards, or you breach these terms or our other policies.

  3. How selling your items works

    Licensing

    When a buyer purchases your item, they receive a license to use it under the Marketplace license selected at checkout. You retain ownership of your item at all times.

    Exclusivity

    Items listed for sale on the TastyIgniter Marketplace must be exclusive to the Marketplace. You must not sell or license the same item elsewhere while it is listed here.

    Pricing and review

    You set the prices for your items. All items are subject to review before approval, and we may reject or remove items that do not meet our quality, technical, or legal standards.

    You must not offer buyers terms that conflict with the Marketplace license or these Author Terms.

  4. Payments of earnings

    When your item is sold, you receive 70% of the item price. We retain a 30% platform fee for use of the Marketplace and related services. We may agree a different rate with you in writing.

    You authorise us to collect buyer payments, calculate your earnings, and pay them to you through your connected payout account.

    Payout methods
    • Stripe Connect: when your Stripe account is verified, your share of eligible sales may be transferred to you at the time of the sale.
    • PayPal: earnings are held for 7 days after a sale, then included in our next weekly payout run (currently on Thursdays), provided your PayPal account is verified.

    Payout timing may vary where verification is incomplete, a payout is held for review, or payment processors impose restrictions. We may withhold or reverse payouts related to refunds, chargebacks, or suspected fraud.

    You are responsible for any taxes due on your earnings. We may request tax information where required by law.

  5. Your warranties and responsibilities

    You warrant that:

    • you own or have the rights needed to license your items on the Marketplace;
    • your items match their description and preview materials;
    • your items do not contain malicious code and do not infringe third-party rights;
    • your items remain exclusive to the TastyIgniter Marketplace while listed for sale; and
    • you will provide reasonable support to buyers.

    You are responsible for maintaining your item, publishing updates, and responding to buyer support requests in a timely manner.

  6. Liability and indemnity

    Our liability to you is subject to the limitations set out in our Terms and conditions.

    You agree to indemnify us against claims, losses, and costs arising from your items, your breach of these Author Terms, or any breach of your warranties to buyers.

    These Author Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. The courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction, consistent with our Terms and conditions.
