How to refund or cancel an order

Sometimes an order just can't be fulfilled. TastyIgniter makes it easy to cancel it — and let the customer know why — without a back-and-forth phone call.

  1. Click Orders in the sidebar.
  2. Click the ID or pencil icon of the order you need to cancel.
  3. Click on the current Status.
  4. Choose Cancelled from the Status dropdown.
  5. Add a Comment explaining why.
  6. Turn on Notify Customer if you'd like them to get an email update.
  7. Click Save.

The change takes effect immediately.

Note: Cancelling an order does not automatically issue a refund. Refunds must be processed separately, following your own refund policy.

Tip: Clear, accurate menu descriptions go a long way toward avoiding the kind of mix-ups that lead to cancellations in the first place.
