TastyIgniter allows you to set the minimum order value for menu items in your restaurant to ensure that the order size is large enough to be profitable.
For instance, if your customers expect free delivery on every order. On average, you calculate your restaurant loses money when delivering orders smaller than $30. Instead of removing free delivery, you can set a minimum order value of $30.
You can set the minimum order value for your menu items in two easy ways; editing an existing menu item or creating a new one.
Editing an existing menu item
From your TastyIgniter Admin, navigate to Restaurants and click on Menu Items. Click on the Pen Icon of the selected menu item you wish to edit. Go to Menu > Minimum Quantity > Enter the minimum quantity customers can order and Save.
Creating a new menu item
From your TastyIgniter Admin, navigate to Restaurants and click on Menu Items. Go to New > Menu > Minimum Quantity > Enter the minimum quantity customers can order and Save.
Tip: Before setting a minimum order value, do your background work to ensure that your conversion isn't negatively affected.
