Managing menu items options

Options let customers customize a dish — think sizes, toppings, or sides — without you needing a separate menu item for every combination.

  1. Click Restaurant > Menu Items.
  2. Click the pencil icon next to the item you want to update.
  3. Click the Options tab.
  4. Find the option you want in the Menu Options list and click its + icon to attach it.
  5. Click Save.
  1. Still on the Options tab, click + New.
  2. Fill in the fields below.
  3. Click Save.

Name — What the option is called, e.g. "Toppings" or "Size."
Display Type — How customers choose: Radio (pick one), Checkbox (pick several), Select (dropdown), or Quantity.
Location(s) — Which of your locations this option is available at.
Option Items — The individual choices customers can pick, each with its own Name, Price, Stock Quantity, and Ingredients/Allergens.

Example: For a Jollof Rice dish, you might create a "Toppings" option (Checkbox display) with option items for Fish, Meat, and Chicken — each with its own extra price. Once saved, attach "Toppings" to your Jollof Rice menu item and it'll appear as a choice for customers at checkout.

Once created, your new option appears in the Menu Options list, ready to attach to this item or any other.
